Description

The new Azulej ceramic series, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina, recalls the ancient tradition of artisanal majolica made from hydraulic cement. This contemporary reinterpretation is achieved through 20x20 cm slabs, produced in series. It is a bold mix and patch, intentionally random, which combines abstract designs and soft, neutral and slightly worn colors. These shades blend irregularly with the support in a natural way, creating a unique and surprising result. The collection offers compositional freedom and unique designs, preserving the artisanal characteristics, combined with the performance of a high-tech material suitable for floors and walls.

Delicate imagery, sensitivity, harmony and authentic elegance are the characteristics of Mutina.

“The collaboration with the designer Patricia Urquiola was truly passionate and engaging, an experience of great professional enrichment for both of us. Patricia immediately understood and shared our company project, our philosophy and our idea of research, both chromatic and material, and managed to transfer all its creative exuberance to the new collection without distorting our identity, which is much more sober and achromatic".
